Noah Milton Stephens IV operates M-A-A-P and is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect and why

• Account data (email, sign-in details, reviewer role) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Submissions (contributor name, relationship to the artist, stories, links, uploaded files) — to review and publish archive entries. Legal basis: contract and consent.
• Purchase records (what you bought, subscription status) — to unlock content and calculate artist earnings. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Usage and device data (pages viewed, plays, IP address, browser) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Saved capsules are stored in your own browser and are not sent to us.

Who we share data with

• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle collects payment details directly under its own privacy policy.
• Service providers that host the app, store data and provide AI-assisted review tools.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
• Authorities, where required by law.

Some providers may process data outside your country; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is active. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Published archive entries are kept as part of the historical record unless you ask for removal of your personal details. Other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us through the Add to the Archive page and we will respond within one month.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and role-based permissions so that only authorized reviewers can change submissions.

Cookies and local storage

We use only essential browser storage — to keep you signed in and to remember your saved capsules. We do not use advertising cookies.
